Before you decide which of our Cozumel vacation rentals you’re most interested in, learn a bit more about the island!

Cozumel is Mexico’s largest Caribbean island. It is located 12 miles East of Playa Del Carmen on the Yucatan Peninsula, and the island measures 30 miles long and 10 miles wide. The average temperature is 80° F (26.6 C) and the climate is warm and humid.

Most of the island’s population of lives in San Miguel de Cozumel, with a population of about 80,000 people. San Miguel is seven miles from your Cozumel vacation rental at Residencias Reef Condos. This makes our location a perfect spot…far enough away from everything so that you can relax, but close enough to the city when you want a piece of the action. There are many restaurants when you can get authentic Mexican food with fresh fish. There’s so much to do at night as well, as the people of Cozumel also know how to party!

As you might guess, Cozumel’s economy is mostly tourism-based. If you’re in need of even more relaxation, spas and golf courses are a great way to go. You can also enjoy the lush vegetation of the island, filled with unique wildlife and plant species. When you just want to enjoy the ocean, our white sand beaches are a great place to start, with year-round diving. Water temps range from 75 to 85 degrees.  Water visibility on the reefs is generally excellent, ranging  from 75 to 125 feet at most dive sites. These reefs are part of the Great Mayan Reef, the second-largest reef system in the world.
